The Full Story

8Paul Menta, Chair, and the City of Key West’s Bicentennial Committee are organizing events centered around the March 25th, 2022 200th celebration in Key West. There is dozens of activities planned from a commemorative time capsule dedication to a documentary film project; multiple events by the Key West Art and Historical Society and Key West Oldest House, a conch baseball retrospective and the final culmination Saturday, March 26th Heritage Festival and Drone Fireworks show. It promises to be a fantastic commemoration of 200 years of history and progress.

As with many community projects, this is a self-funding endeavor made possible 100% through in-kind and sponsorship contributions. Opportunities for local patrons, businesses and organizations to become involved are limitless as anyone who wants to participate is welcome.

We have a website, social media presence, email newsletters opt-in audience, banners, printed materials and other opportunities we will cross promote. However every sponsorship for this event will be custom created based on specific requirements and ROI fulfilments. All participants may use the official postal ‘cancellation stamp’ logo. The March 26 Heritage Festival is expected to attract more than 5000 guests with a strong local presence.
