The Full Story

Paul Menta, Chair, and the City of Key West’s Bicentennial Committee organized events centered around the March 25th, 2022 200th celebration in Key West. There was dozens of activities planned from a commemorative time capsule dedication to a documentary film project; multiple events by the Key West Art and Historical Society and Key West Oldest House, a conch baseball retrospective and the final culmination Saturday, March 26th Heritage Festival and Drone Fireworks show. It was a fantastic commemoration of 200 years of history and progress.

As with many community projects, this is a self-funding endeavor made possible 100% through in-kind and sponsorship contributions. Opportunities for local patrons, businesses and organizations to become involved are limitless as anyone who wants to participate is welcome.

We have a website, social media presence, email newsletters opt-in audience, banners, printed materials and other opportunities we will cross promote. However every sponsorship for this event will be custom created based on specific requirements and ROI fulfilments. All participants may use the official postal ‘cancellation stamp’ logo. The March 26 Heritage Festival is expected to attract more than 5000 guests with a strong local presence. 

Sponsorship Levels (no longer active)

  • $1500/$1000 bricks on the official time capsule monument (almost sold out)$1500/$100

  • $1500 Drone Fireworks Supporting Sponsor. Includes a prime designated viewing/picnic space on the Waterfront Pier for a 10x10 tent and 8 chairs we provide plus appropriate signage and advertising. You'll get 8 VIP wristbands that allow you to jump the line at the food and beverage tents all day! (direct charitable donation

  • $1500 Themed Area Presenting Sponsor. Title sponsorship of Marine Zone, Conch Cuisine & Spirits, Military, Art & Entertainment or Special Events, kids zone (use inquiry form below)

  • $500 Friend of the Festival supporting sponsor. Commemorative bottle of Rum (use inquiry form below)

  • In-kind sponsors are needed for just about everything including signage, rentals, promotion etc. 

  • Volunteers. We need volunteer coordinators for each area and volunteers for load-in and out and to work the information booth (use inquiry form below)

  • $75 10x10 vending space (sales) Saturday, March 26 from 4 pm to 9 pm (register at
